Chemistry Help Secrets Better Chemistry Grades-Less Effort
Need Chemistry Help ?
Chemistry just too complicated ?
Homework taking too long ?
Well, Chemistry Help is just a few clicks away!
If you are among the gifted few with total recall and a photographic
memory... Then you can memorize your way to an A in Chemistry without
understanding the fundamentals.
I am not among the gifted few... So... I had to learn chemistry the "old
fashioned way"... I had to understand it step-by-step.
Along the way I have learned some "Secrets" about how to understand the
basics of Chemistry without memorization. Check out the different
specific topics below to access these Chemistry Homework Help Secrets.
Chemistry Dictionary
To help you understand our Chemistry Help Secrets we have put together a
Chemistry Dictionary of the chemical definitions of all the important
terms and words you will need to understand our secrets. This is not a chemical encyclopedia, but rather a listing of the key terms you will need to master chemistry.

Atomic Structure
All chemical compounds are made of various combinations of elements.
Each element is made of atoms with a structure unique to that element.
Atoms are made of Protons, Electrons and Neutrons.
Once you understand the Atomic Structure of Hydrogen, the simplest
element, and see how each element is built up from Hydrogen by adding
protons and electrons, you will be well on your way to building a
foundation for mastering Chemistry.

Periodic Table
Chemical formulas and chemical reactions are like messages written in
code, a chemical code. As with any encoded message, if you don't have
the key to "break the code", the message doesn't make any sense. The
Periodic Table is the key to "breaking the chemical code".

Ionic Bonds
Once you have mastered the Periodic Table chemical code, the next step
is to understand how elements bond together to form compounds. Some
elements want to loose or gain electrons to form charged ions. Bonds
formed between these charged ions are called Ionic Bonds.

Covalent Bonds
Some elements want to share electrons instead of loosing or gaining them
to become ions. The bonds formed between these elements that share
electrons are called Covalent Bonds.

Polyatomic Ions
There are two basic types of ions. Simple ions are formed from single
elements that either loose or gain electrons. But, some ions are formed
from several elements (thus Polyatomic) that share electrons and gain or
loose one or more electrons. These ions are called Polyatomic Ions.

Organic Chemistry
The compounds formed by covalent bonds between carbon, nitrogen, oxygen
and hydrogen are called organic compounds. The area of chemistry
describing these compounds is called Organic Chemistry.
