Welcome to our Phonics Activities-Reading Lesson #2-page
1. This is the second of several activities designed to help your child develop
your ability to associate the correct sounds with the letters
representing the consonants and short vowels of the English language.
This Phonics Activity Lesson is to be used after Lesson #1 and allows your child to try
to sound out the letters without the help of pictures and then allows you to
click through to the letter pictures and sounds for help or
confirmation.
This page has letters A through I. Please select the letter you wish to
work with by selecting it from the list of letters above or simply scroll down this page to get started. You will be
taken to a picture which displays the letter in both capital and lower
case. Try to get your child to say the name of each letter followed by the sound of each letter. If he or
she needs help or wants confirmation of success then click through to
the picture and sound for the letter.
You can proceed to Phonics Activities page 2 (letters J through R) or page 3 (letters S
through Z) by clicking on the |page 2| or |page 3| links at the above
right or at the bottom of this page.
